Scientific/Clinical Studies - Resources
There have been multiple Scientific Studies performed regarding the main effective ingredient found in Mountain AMP (AMP Molecules) and its positive effect on treating Digestive Disorders, see below, for links to these studies:
1. WebMD - https://www.webmd.com/diet/supplement-guide-aloe-vera
- (Excerpt from page) - "Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) causes symptoms such as diarrhea and belly pain. Studies have linked IBS to an imbalance of good and bad bacteria in the gut. Aloe may help with IBS by improving this balance, and by reducing inflammation in the intestines. In one study, people with IBS who took an herbal supplement containing aloe vera for 4 weeks had less constipation, diarrhea, belly pain, and gas."
2. National Library of Medicine - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK92765/
- (Excerpt from page) - "In a randomized controlled trial of 44 subjects with mild to moderately active ulcerative colitis, the oral administration twice daily of 100 mL Aloe vera gel to 30 subjects for 4 weeks generated clinical remission and improvement more often than in the placebo group (14 subjects)"
3. Journal of Neurogastroenterology and Motility - https://www.jnmjournal.org/journal/view.html?doi=10.5056/jnm18077
- (Excerpt from page) - "Three RCTs with a total of 151 patients with IBS were included. The meta-analysis showed a significant difference for patients with Aloe Vera compared to those with placebo regarding improvement in IBS symptom score (standardized mean difference, 0.41; 95% CI, 0.07–0.75; P = 0.020). Using intention-to-treat analysis, the Aloe Vera patients showed significantly better response rates of IBS symptoms compared to placebo (pooled risk ratio, 1.69; 95% CI, 1.05–2.73; P = 0.030). No adverse events related with Aloe Vera were found in included studies. Conclusion: Aloe Vera is effective and safe for the treatment of patients with IBS compared to placebo"
4. Sage Journals - Aloe barbadensis Mill. extract improves symptoms in IBS patients with diarrhea - https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/17562848211048133
- (Excerpt from page) - "In this pooled subgroup analysis of two randomized controlled studies,13,14 treatment with Aloe extract provided significant improvement in overall symptom severity in IBS patients with diarrhea, but not in other IBS subtypes (IBS-C and IBS-nonCnonD) based on predominant bowel habit. This was accompanied by higher frequency of responders in response to Aloe compared to the control treatment in the IBS-D group. The beneficial effect of Aloe extract seen in IBS-D patients was most pronounced for abdominal pain severity and pain frequency."
5. Journals.Physiology.org -Decolorized Aloe vera polysaccharide and their effects on human gastrointestinal cell lines - https://journals.physiology.org/doi/abs/10.1152/physiol.2023.38.S1.5788154
- (Excerpt from page) - "Decolorized Aloe vera polysaccharide–enriched preparations have beneficial effects on human gastrointestinal cell lines in the form of soothing and healing wounds within the intestinal tract. The findings in this study provide evidence that not only can Aloe vera be an aid for digestion, but decolorized polysaccharide–enriched samples have healing effects on the intestinal tract."
